What is the definition of the digital work environment?

Digital Workplace - Definition

Strategic embedding of the digital work environment: objectives
“The entirety of digital applications (…) any time, any place.” That sounds comprehensive. And for a senior manager it sounds especially expensive. In order to justify such investments, the business case must really be sound. That is why it is wise to embed (investments in) the digital work environment in the strategic organizational goals, and to ensure that they are translated properly.
The most important goals that the participants in Digital Workplace Trends 2013 formulated for their digital work environment are:

'Organizational intelligence', or increasing iceland phone data knowledge and skills in the organization (70%)
Efficiency and cost savings (69%)
If you build it, they will use it is not the case
That is also logical. By increasing, better organizing and therefore better utilizing the knowledge and skills of the people in your organization, your organization as a whole will ultimately become more efficient. And that saves costs. These days, cutbacks are hitting us on all fronts, so structurally reducing costs must sound like music to the ears of many managers. In our experience, it is often forgotten that this does not happen automatically, and that if you build it, they will use it does not apply. And that is also somewhat evident from this research, but more about that later.
