ARCore is Google's platform for building augmented reality experiences. Using different APIs, ARCore allows your phone to sense the environment, understand the world, and interact with information.
Google announced at GDC 2018 that more than 86 ARCore apps are coming to the Google Play store, boosting the lineup of Android AR apps and games already available. Some of the APIs are available on turkey number screening Android and iOS and enable shared AR experiences.
Differences between augmented reality, virtual reality and mixed reality
Before explaining what the ARCore platform is, it is best to clarify some important concepts. In general terms, it can be said that virtual reality generates completely non-existent worlds. Augmented reality, on the other hand, combines non-existent elements with others that are there. And mixed reality is a mix of both.
virtual reality
Virtual reality or VR is about completely immersing you in a virtual world. It allows you to live a sensory experience within an artificial environment . You cannot see the outside, only what appears on the screen.
Virtual reality glasses have sensors that recognize the movement of your head. So when you make a movement, it is reproduced in the same way within the virtual world you are interacting with.
What is augmented reality
Augmented reality or AR is a technology that combines elements of the real world with information available in the digital world . It is usually represented in the form of images, animations, etc. This virtual data interacts with the image of a real object captured by the camera of an electronic device: smartphone, tablet or glasses connected to the Internet.
A clear example of augmented reality is Pokémon GO . This famous game uses augmented reality to place virtual characters and the objects that allow them to be captured in real places.
On users' screens, these digital images of virtual objects are nothing more than pixels. But augmented reality technology makes them look like they're really there.
