Open or closed innovation?
Of course, a European project is an example of Open Innovation. That does not mean that everything is open and exposed, on the contrary. One of the important parts of a program is arranging intellectual property. This is one of the reasons why it is important to have a lawyer check whether the so-called consortium agreement does not contain clauses that are at odds with your interests.
Assessment of the proposals
Finally, you have submitted your proposal digitally to the European Commission on time. Now it is a matter of waiting to see how your proposal will be assessed. Fortunately, the criteria on which a proposal is assessed are public:
Quality and efficiency of the implementation and the management
Potential impact through the development, dissemination and use of project
results
In summary, your proposal must be: scientifically or technologically innovative (1), have a good project management organization (2) and have an impact (3). The latter is expressed in the terms Dissemination (spreading the project results) and Exploitation (possibly developing new products and services based on the results).
For each of these criteria you can pakistan phone data get between 1 and 5 points. The lowest score is 3 and the highest possible score is 15. A minimum value applies, the so-called threshold: you must get at least 10 points to have a chance. This means that your proposal must be really well put together, with a 'sixes' culture you literally won't make it here. There is also a lot of competition from other proposals, only the best proposals make it.
Difficult? No! Complex? Yes!
Almost every game has rules and so it is with the framework program (or any other research program). Those rules should not be there to frustrate you, but to ensure that fraud and abuse are minimized. Every system you develop, people will try to abuse it.
Although you also hear the call for simplification in Brussels, for now it is simply a matter of familiarizing yourself with the rules and making sure you play by the rules. Don't be put off by the many thick documents available on the FP7 site . Read carefully what is expected of you and ask for help from AgentschapNL . They can answer most questions directly because you are not the only one asking the question.
