" Gender representation in the menstrual care industry is unfair... And someone should speak up ."

Menstruation is not only a taboo subject in today's society, it's also unfair considering the industry that exists around intimate hygiene . Happy women in impossible positions are everywhere in advertisements for period products. But where are the transgender people?

McCann has created Cycle: an inclusive menstrual hygiene product

With this problem in mind, and the discrimination that this community has to belgium number screening deal with on a daily basis, McCann Worldgroup has created a new disruptive product designed to address the lack of inclusion in the category. With the help of the British company Freda, Cycle is born, a new range of menstrual hygiene products that breaks with gender biases.

Transgender and non-binary people form a considerable community whose needs are poorly understood by industry and society when it comes to menstrual hygiene products. According to The Lancet , it is estimated that there are between 23 and 39 million transgender people in the world, of which approximately 60% are men.

Gender codes and a lack of inclusion in the menstrual care category mean that trans men and non-binary people relive transition trauma, shame and fear every time they get their period.
To make Cycle a reality, they have collaborated with the British company Freda, which fights against menstrual inequality in all its forms and believes that access to menstrual care is a basic human right.
