OpenAI researchers warned of a discovery that could threaten humanity before Altman was fired

Post by rUparaHmaN014 »

Following the return of Sam Altman as CEO of OpenAI , which should have somehow closed the "soap opera" that has occurred in recent days within the company, news continues to emerge to the surface about what is possibly the greatest drama of the year in the technology industry.

According to two people directly familiar with the matter, several OpenAI researchers have sent a letter to the company's board of directors warning of an AI-related discovery that could list of mobile phone numbers database potentially pose a major threat to humanity. The letter reached the eyes of OpenAI board members before Sam Altman was fired.

That letter and a new AI algorithm are believed to have been, among other factors, the catalysts that ultimately led to Sam Altman being fired by the OpenAI Board of Directors.

According to sources consulted by Reuters, Mira Murati, CTO of OpenAI, is reported to have mentioned the so-called Q* project to employees on Wednesday and also informed them that the letter of discord had been sent to the Board of Directors before the events of this weekend.

OpenAI has reportedly made a major breakthrough in its quest for superintelligence or artificial general intelligence (AGI)
The Q* project mentioned by Murati is said to be a major breakthrough made by OpenAI in the quest for superintelligence, also known as artificial general intelligence (AGI). OpenAi uses the term AGI to refer to AI systems that are more intelligent than real human beings.

This new model discovered by OpenAI would be able to solve complex mathematical problems, reveals a source consulted by Reuters, who remains anonymous at all times .
