Microsoft has managed to awaken Bing, a search engine once condemned to irrelevance in the search world, from its slumber thanks to the soothing effect of the famous chatbot ChatGPT . Microsoft's search engine has managed to surpass the barrier of 100 million active users for the first time in its history with the invaluable help of the OpenAI chatbot.
The successful integration of ChatGPT into Bing has cost the Redmond company a multi-million dollar investment in OpenAI , the parent company of the famous chatbot, and it seems that the software giant wants to monetize that investment as soon as possible.
As many may have feared, Microsoft has decided to include advertising in Bing with ChatGPT . The growing popularity of the new Bing with ChatGPT seems to justify the decision of the American multinational to monetize its search engine by relying on the most traditional formula for obtaining income on the network of networks: advertising.
Yusuf Mehdi, a Microsoft vice president, has confirmed on Bing's corporate blog that his company is already looking for options to implement ads on the search engine in order to recoup the multi-million dollar investment in OpenAI (estimated at 10 billion dollars).

Microsoft has several advertising formats on the table for Bing with ChatGPT. One of the formulas that the company led by Satya Nadella is experimenting with is links in chats that, when "hovered," will show more hyperlinks that will direct the user to the websites of content providers.
The company also plans to place ads in the “Learn More” section kazakhstan number screening at the bottom of search results, where Bing displays relevant links directly related to searches.
Microsoft is also considering adding advertising to the right-hand side of Bing results with ChatGPT , where rich content captures could be introduced . This formula, dubbed Microsoft Start, envisages the company sharing advertising revenue with its partners.
The software company also plans to “place ads within the chat experience to share advertising revenue with partners whose content contributed to the chat response.”
It seems that some Bing users with ChatGPT have already started seeing ads on Microsoft's search engine, so the company is therefore in a hurry to start making money on its investment in OpenAI. However, some fear that the introduction of advertising on Bing with ChatGPT could undermine user confidence in the results provided by the famous chatbot.
