70% of Gen Z students pay for AI tools

A survey by Raptor of young students found that they are not so worried about AI, but rather are excited about what they can achieve with this technology.

AI is still present in the marketing environment and its new japan number screening updates lead to a massive adoption of technology. However, where many fail is in understanding the everyday ways in which AI influences and changes the technological approach of the next generation.

Marketing agency Raptor interviewed a selection of students to find out what Gen Z really thinks about AI developments, how it is used in everyday life, and their perspectives on the future. The aim was to identify three core areas of development that marketers should keep in mind when it comes to Gen Z and AI in the coming year.

Most Gen Z students pay for AI tools
Gen Z actively uses AI in their everyday lives and is excited about its possibilities, in contrast to what they see as a backlash from older generations. ChatGPT (OpenAI) and Gemini (formerly Bard, Google) are the leading generative AI platforms that students use to assist in their daily lives and 70% of Gen Z students pay for AI tools.

Courses and education are a key reason for this, with universities introducing AI detection tools along with plagiarism checks on their feedback due to the number of students using generative AI software to support their studies.

What does this mass adoption of AI among Gen Z mean for marketers? According to Emily Lowes, Senior Marketing Manager at Raptor, the most important thing is that AI will come to an office near workers, whether they like it or not. As the next generation of employees, Gen Z will lead the way in using AI to improve workflow efficiency, generate creativity, and plan for the future.
