Marketing and advertising professionals met yesterday for a new episode of La Noche MD , the program that MarketingDirecto.com organizes on Clubhouse every Thursday. The tenth episode focused on algorithms .

This new room was joined by professionals such as Gaby Castellanos , CEO & Founder of socialphilia; Emilio Márquez , CEO of La Latina Valley; Ariel Brailovsky , author, speaker and coach; and Paco Jariego , PhD in Physical Sciences, author and independent researcher.

Majé López , dream manager and communications expert; Sergio Martín , journalist from RTVE; and Javier Piedrahita , CEO and Founder of MarketingDirecto.com, were in charge of the moderation.



"Let's free ourselves from the algorithm" was the topic that our media put on the table in this room about marketing and advertising with great experts in the field. And on this issue, Sergio Martín gave an example number database about the Twitter algorithm. "About 24 hours ago, a message from Paco Jariego appeared on my Twitter TL that said 'only today I will make my book free'. I RTed it and it was for Book Day. The Twitter algorithm does mischief," he told the attendees of this episode of La Noche MD. "One believes that one is free. I fell into the algorithm's trap."

Javier Piedrahita referred to an article by the ever-critical Bob Hoffman (The Ad Contrarian) on the war caused by toxic algorithms and driven by advertisers . “The growing divide that has appeared in our culture and our society has been significantly driven by the hidden hand of digital algorithms ,” Hoffman harshly stated in this post.
