What do we mean by ghost or zombie pages?

Post by JoynobAkter »

Imagine an e-commerce that, for example, does AB tests . Once these experiments are finished, the person in charge of managing the situation forgets to remove one of the two pages. Here, for Google we are in the presence of two very similar pages, not to say identical, so the first advice I give you is to go and check the presence of "useless" pages on your site and eliminate them. By useless I also mean pages of little value that are not generating performance.

How to Identify and Remove Low-Value Pages
Here is the step-by-step process I use with my clients to identify and remove the usage of facebook database poorly performing pages:
Estimate the number of pages you should have
Estimate the number of real products, the number of categories, blog posts and support pages and merge them. Put Google to work with the site command:

As a rough guide, you should have more or less the same number of indexed pages that you counted in the previous operation. If the number of indexed pages is too high, intervene by analyzing which pages might have escaped your attention and that in reality should not be indexed.
