Ikebe : Your experience as a freelancer was the foundation of your company. At the time, staying up all night was the norm, but the atmosphere at Untype is completely different now, and you can even go home on time. What kind of changes have there been?
Yamashita : When we first established the company and we were running it with only 3 or 4 people, we were able to get things done just by doing the actual work. However, as we increased in number, differences in attitudes towards work arose among employees, and we started to seriously face "management".
After reading various books and information, I finally realized the importance of "human resources". I also began to feel that the atmosphere of "working all night is the norm" was no longer suitable for the future.
From there, we took the time to develop denmark b2b leads a universal "philosophy" such as a "company creed" and "corporate philosophy", and created a company where people with the same thoughts could work responsibly. I think we have become a company where each employee can feel motivated by trusting them and entrusting them with work, and where they can go home at the regular time because they are responsible for themselves.
Ikebe : So that's the background to the philosophy that is posted on the Untype website.
The word "trust" is used several times in this philosophy, but is there any background to it?
Yamashita : The company motto "Trust, sincerity, wisdom, and heart" is everything about UNTYPE, but the "trust" at the beginning is the most important word.
Shortly after UNTYPE was founded, we made repeated failures in launching a new site. I was dejected, thinking that I would never get a request from this customer again, but later, he said something I never expected, "I will do a lifelong relationship with you, Mr. Yamashita, because you dealt with me sincerely, even though we had many difficult times." Just as he said, I still work frequently with this customer. It was an unforgettable experience that made
me realize that people who see you are seeing you, and that the accumulation of "trust" leads to "trust."
Since then, by continuing to maintain an attitude of generating "trust" by providing something extra, we have been able to increase the number of people who introduce UNTYPE to other companies, and we have increased our customer base on referrals.
Ikebe : You get work even without making sales calls, and the basis for your stable business is "trust."
So, when do you feel joy in your work?
Yamashita : When someone told me, "I'm glad I asked Untype to help me."
I used to work in retail, so I've always loved hearing people say "thank you." It made me realize that I'd earned their trust, and I feel that it's especially important to value this kind of "verbal" communication, especially with an intangible service like the Web.
