Social commerce on TikTok: "link in bio"
TikTok has already started testing a new feature in which list of panama consumer email users can add links to their online store (or any other website) in their profile bio, similar to Instagram's famous "link in bio". This way, content creators and brands will be able to easily direct their visitors to their shopping sites and encourage conversions.

The new feature was first announced on November 14 when Fabian Bern, the founder of influencer startup Uplab, posted a video on Twitter showing off the feature. According to the creators at ByteDance (the company behind TikTok), “We are always experimenting with new ways to improve the app experience for our users. Ultimately, we focus on ways to inspire creativity, bring joy, and add value to our community.”

The feature of adding links to bio has been available on Instagram for a long time and has been used by a large number of accounts. Popular uses include directing users to online stores and recent articles or videos in the case of content creators.

Instagram also has other social commerce features like Instagram Shopping, which allows you to tag products in the same way as people and add details like price and description. TikTok hasn't announced any similar functionality yet, but we'll see how it evolves.
