I am sure you will learn or gain new skills and will definitely make friends all over the world. There is no shame in making mistakes, as you can learn from them and develop your skills further. You can also help others as they develop their skills."

Meher added:

"Don't let things that seem difficult get in the way of your success."

, a full-stack developer from Moscow with over 10 years of experience, a speaker and an active participant in the Russian-speaking community. She is known as Katya and her beautiful last name is rarely remembered, since there is simply no one to confuse her with.

— You are often referenced, other developers like to work with you and communicate with you, you are highly valued as a professional. How did you manage to do that?

I retrained as a web developer when I was on maternity leave. A small child, social isolation and lack of money for paid education (and there were no good courses back then) forced me to communicate a lot in the community's Telegram chats. I always received an answer to a polite and well-formulated question, it really helped and inspired me to move on. After a while, I could already answer some questions myself, so my "assets" in the community grew. I got so used to communicating and helping that as soon as I took a PHP course at an online school, I immediately joined the local chat, where I began consulting. There I found my first job in a team: Dima Minka (hi!) wrote to me in a private message: "I see that you are actively helping the guys, you probably have a lot of free time. Let me take some of it." We worked with Dima for two happy years.
