Pay attention to the follow attribute

Post by yapiwi7898 »

Search engine algorithms recognize whether a given link has a dofollow or nofollow attribute . Valuable links that have a dofollow attribute "transfer power" to the linked page. For this reason, most SEO specialists focus exclusively on acquiring dofollow links. However, it should be remembered that nofollow links are also needed, because thanks to them, the link profile is more diverse, which means that it is closer to the natural one. As you know, during link building it is very important that the links look as if they were acquired completely naturally. Therefore, the person whose task is to position the website should determine what percentage of links should have the dofollow attribute, and what part of the link profile can have the nofollow attribute.

In most cases, the directory administrator determines whether links in entries will be dofollow or nofollow. However, sometimes you can add a link using an HTML editor . In such cases, the nofollow link looks like this:

It is not worth adding entries country code +98, iran phone numbers to directories in a mass manner
Practice shows that Google does not impose a direct penalty for acquiring a large number of links. However, you need to be careful. Using a large number of links in a quick and not very well thought-out manner may result in Google imposing a filter . The directory of pages must therefore be selected and valuable from the SEO point of view. In this matter, quality is definitely more important than quantity.

How to choose the right website directory?
The website directory and its selection is a complex issue. There are various methods to check whether a given page is worth placing a link on or not. The factors to pay attention to are as follows:

It is worth checking how a given directory is seen by indicators analyzing the strength of the domain. Popular indicators include:
PA – Page Authority and DA – Domain Authority (moz.com),
DR – Domain Rating (ahrefs.com),
TF – Trust Flow, CF – Citation Flow (majestic.com).
In addition to checking the indicators, pay attention to whether a given web directory is indexed well (whether it has keywords indexed by Google) and whether it has organic traffic. You can check this using the aforementioned Ahrefs or using Polish equivalents such as Senuto or Semstorm.
Senuto – analysis of the visibility of a sample catalog
Senuto – analysis of the visibility of a sample catalog

In the next step, you can check what kind of link profile the directory has. The more valuable links a site has on other portals that refer to it, the better.
It is best if the website directory has another function beyond just cataloging – for example, within the same domain, there may also be a blog or news site. From an SEO perspective, this is important because in such a case, there is no outgoing link on every subpage. As it turns out, search engine algorithms probably pay attention to this. So if the website directory consists only of company business cards, then there is an outgoing link on practically every subpage, which may immediately look like a typical spammy website in the eyes of the algorithm – this does not speak well of the given directory.
As a rule, a moderated directory of websites is much stronger than those that are not moderated. This is because there is simply less spam on it.
Usually thematic directories are a bit more well-kept, so very generally speaking, it can be said that placing an entry (if possible) in thematic directories is better. Firstly, because thematic directory pages are usually less spammed. Secondly, it simply looks good (both in terms of image and SEO) when the link is placed on a page with a similar theme.
The Impact of Directories on SEO
A web directory can boost your site's ranking in SERPs, and therefore has an impact on SEO . As you already know, a lot depends on the linked site. Sometimes, one link to a high-quality directory outweighs a lot of links to spammy sites. So, in short, a web directory has a positive impact on your ranking in SERPs, but it has to be really good quality.
