Voice search is predicted to redefine SEO. How?

In my opinion, I don’t think it affects much, in the end it means going back to long tail searches , but as you know, Google doesn’t search its “database” for what the user says or writes, but rather tries to understand what they are looking for and provide a solution to the search (search intention). On the other hand, I think it is essential to use all possible metadata in order to tag as many attributes as possible that we want to index. Use rich snippets and check that our information is correct on devices such as Google Home or Alexa. These affect SEO because it is traffic that does not end up reaching the website, as it responds directly on the user’s mobile.

New call to action

Another trend that is expected for 2019 is visual searches. Pinterest, for example, launched Lens, its visual search tool, a couple of years ago. What does this mean for SEO? How will we have to design the SEO strategy so that these visual search engines recognize us?

Without realizing it, this trend has already begun. From the moment we use quality images, with ALT tags that identify them, what we achieve is to position them well in Google Images and thus they end up being positioned correctly. In addition, AI applications are helping a lot in this regard, achieving automatic recognition and processing of images.

Search engines are constantly changing and what works today may no longer be effective tomorrow. What are your three tips for constant optimization today?

At Elabs Consulting we give three very simple recommendations to our clients:

Be clear that the only way to position yourself on Google is by creating content, that “something” that provides value to the user.
Create a work plan and don't modify it with each Google update .
Model the business we want to position based on keywords .
I recommend not seeing the website as a single entity, but rather as mini entities and the KPIs of each one should be measured:

Amount of content published vs. indexed.
Traffic to each content.
Bounce rate.
And make decisions, what doesn't work must be eliminated or modified.

The pace at which technology advances forces us to be in continuous learning. What is the secret to staying up to date with all the latest developments?

Incorporate talent into the company. People with a young and vital spirit, who are digital natives and pay attention to details. People who want to understand how SEO positioning works in the different Google services. People who are alert, eager to learn constantly and to try without fear, who do not settle for what has been done in recent years.
