The reality is that there are also External Professional Mentors, who apply our experience and capacity through an individualized service to provide that extra knowledge, multi-sector vision and personal skills that generate growth, competencies and individual advancement.

In my own experience and vision, differentiating my services as an External Mentor from those of a Trainer, from Mentoring I seek to get involved much more individually in the person, moment and role of the mentee (individual receiving mentoring) than in the necessary generic competencies.

Understanding very well what decisions the mentee needs and will need to make, as well as the challenges of their sector and client, is vital to be able to work on developing that attitude that leads them to enhance their own criteria for action.

This is the star concept; developing OWN CRITERIA in someone, the mentee. In order to develop it, it is necessary to achieve a relationship of technical but also personal trust. Sharing knowledge with assertiveness and critical thinking and allowing the mentee to arrive at their own answers with examples, hypotheses and contrast is the key.

Without a doubt, the experience that the Business Mentor has will be very important, but even more important will be his ability to read the person, generate authority and accompany him in real and concrete situations.

Answering the question of what a B2B Business Mentoring is for, I would undoubtedly say that it is to encourage and empower technically and personally a professional who wants to nurture his or her own criteria to grow in the difficult world of Customer-Centric B2B / Industrial Strategy.
