The third edition of the PHotoFUNIBER International Competition begins today. Those interested in participating have until March 2 to send a photo. The winners will receive postgraduate scholarships and cash prizes.
Due to the success of the previous business owner phone number data competitions, FUNIBER is now launching the PHotoFUNIBER'21 edition. All information about the competition can be found at.
This year, the competition is being held in conjunction with the launch of the Photography specialisation programme, run by the European University of the Atlantic.
How to participate?
The photograph participating in the competition must be original, not having been awarded in other competitions or commercially exploited. In order for the entry to be accepted, the participant must indicate the category associated with the photograph. PHotoFUNIBER will receive images from four categories:
NATURE: Photographs of natural environments, fauna, flora, water, among other elements of nature.
HERITAGE: Photographs of cultural elements such as architecture, dance, gastronomy, crafts, music, etc.
PHOTOJOURNALISM: Photographs that express human complexities through people, events and actions that represent human values such as solidarity, cooperation, education and personal development.
ABSTRACT: Photographs created with freedom of digital or artisanal manipulation, representing some original idea, concept or aesthetic.
How will the photographs be selected?
The selection process for the photographs will be carried out in two stages. In the first, 20 photographs from each category will be chosen as finalists. These images will be included in an online gallery on the contest page and will participate in a public vote.
In addition to the public vote, a Jury of Honor, made up of renowned photography experts, will select the best images from the gallery of finalists.
The competition will award 6 prizes, which will be announced on May 4. For each category, one winner will be rewarded with €400 and an 80% scholarship to pursue one of the postgraduate programs promoted by FUNIBER.
The photograph in each category will also be awarded with the most votes from the public, with a prize of €300 and a 50% scholarship to study one of the postgraduate programs promoted by FUNIBER.
Special prizes for students of the university network in which FUNIBER participates
Two special prizes will be awarded:
The UNEATLANTICO Special Prize will select the 2 best photographs submitted by students and/or alumni who have graduated from any degree/diploma of the European University of the Atlantic, with a prize of €200 for each winner.
The FUNIBER Special Prize will award the 2 best photographs submitted by FUNIBER scholarship graduate students, who have completed their studies or are currently studying, a prize of €200 for each.
Exposure
As in the previous edition, the award-winning works, plus the honorable mentions, will be exhibited in the exhibition hall of the European University of the Atlantic, in Santander (Spain).
