The online sports store Deporvillage.com closes its first capital increase

The online sports store Deporvillage.com has completed its first capital increase worth 350,000 euros with the entry of investors and mentors from the sector, with the aim of positioning itself as the reference e-commerce for sports equipment in the Spanish market, the company reported in a statement.

The company, which was the winner of the 5th Seedrocket campus, has had mentors in this first round of financing such as Marek Fodor (co-founder of Atrápalo), Juan Margenat (founder of Plan B), Jesús Monleon (co-founder of Offerum) and David Tomas (founder of Cyberclick).

Carlos Blanco (founder of Grupo ITNET), François Derbaix (founder of Toprural), Iñaki Arrola (founder of Coches.com), Alberto Knapp (founder of The Cocktail), and Ángel Luis Martín Cabiedes through the Cabiedes & Partners fund, as well as several international private investors, also participated. However, the round was completed with a loan from Enisa.

"In addition to the capital lawyer data inflow, we have managed to involve leading Internet professionals to form part of our project. This is, for us, the great success of this round that we have just closed," said the founder and CEO of the company, Xavier Pladellorens.

He also stressed that the three founding partners, Xavier Pladellorens, Ángel Corcuera and Francesc Duarri, will continue to hold the majority of the capital, occupying positions of responsibility in the management of online marketing , purchasing and operations respectively.

Finally, the company has stressed that it has achieved "significant growth" in recent months, and that it aims to position itself as the leading e-commerce site for sports equipment in the Spanish market.
