What they never told you about list cleaning

Post by Mitu523 »

In our daily work, we regularly send campaigns, but we rarely think about the actions we should take once the campaign has been sent, for example, list cleaning.

Did you know that ISPs (Hotmail, Gmail, etc.) know that you are sending to addresses that do not exist and can harm your deliverability?

That's right. If after reviewing the campaign results we take no action on bounces or on email addresses that have not opened our last 30 campaigns, for example, ISPs may start not letting our campaigns pass through their filters, considering that they are associated with a sender that does not take any action to improve their results.

Now, do you know what you france phone number list should delete? When we refer to list cleaning, we are talking about eliminating bounces and addresses that do not open our campaigns. You already know that within the bounces, you will find three categories:

Image

Confirmed bounces: addresses that no longer exist as an attempt has been made to connect to them on three occasions, and on all three occasions the server has confirmed that the campaign could not be delivered.
Hard bounces: addresses that do not exist and that if they bounce three times, will become confirmed. These addresses no longer exist because the address was misspelled, the domain no longer exists, or because the person who owned the address is no longer employed and has been terminated.
Soft bounces: These are addresses that are temporarily inactive and to which the campaign could not be delivered temporarily, so they are valid addresses that should not be deleted. What do we mean by a temporary problem? For example, the mailbox may be full of emails and you cannot receive any more until you clean them up, or the campaign was sent outside of working hours and an auto-reply was sent, or there was a temporary problem on the server. This means that these addresses are temporarily unavailable, but once the problem has been resolved, they will be active again.
Although it may seem that cleaning is not important, the truth is that you can check the results yourself from the reputation panel that we have inserted on the home page of your account.

This panel provides you with a number from 1 to 8 that evaluates your reputation. Do you know what reputation is? Reputation is a measure used to measure the behavior of your campaigns with respect to spam filters and the interactions of your users.
