After huge UK sales, Compare The Market meerkat toys come to Australia

Post by Rojone1030 »

Compare The Market’s meerkat characters are being made available in Australia in plush toy form.

Plush toy mascots of the Comparethemarket.com.au brand commercial characters will soon be available in Australia.

They were the second best-selling soft toys in the UK in 2015 and 2016, second only to Disney toys, and are now in more than 6.5 million homes there.

The launch of the toy characters – Aleksandr Orlov and his sidekick Sergei – followed the success of the comparethemarket.com.au ads featuring them.

“Aussies will be given the option of choosing either

Aleksandr or Sergei between 8 February cabo verde cell phone database and 31 March when they take out any hospital, extras or combined health insurance policy online or through the comparethemarket.com.au call centre,” says spokesperson Abigail Koch.

The Equality Campaign’s newest push features Navy vet, nurse, doctor, lifesaver and firefighter

A new campaign for marriage equality features messages from real-life Australian heroes.

The Equality Campaign’s ‘It’s Only Fair’ run of messaging aims to remind Australian politicians that marriage equality is only fair.

The campaign, by The Royals, features a Royal Australian Navy veteran, a nurse, a doctor, a firefighter and a lifesaver, those who dedicate their lives to supporting society but are denied the right to marry.

Each personality featured includes a message, for example “we can make the ultimate sacrifice but we can’t make the ultimate commitment,” from the Navy veteran.

Equality is aiming to further galvanise public support for the issue to encourage politicians to follow suit with “two thirds of Australians believing everyone should be able to marry the person they love, regardless of sexual orientation,” it says in a release.

It encourages the public to visit the Equality Campaign website to send a message to their local MP.

“We will have marriage equality in Australia, it’s just a matter of when,” says The Royals creative partner Nick Cummins. “One of the ways we can achieve this faster is through communication.

“Communication between Australians and their politicians, communication between friends and family.”

Tiernan Brady, executive director at The Equality Campaign, says “the majority of Australians and Mps support marriage equality and the time has come for the federal parliament to act and deliver this straightforward reform.

“With this campaign we call on all MPs to recognise that this is about equality for all Australians, who already make this a better country for us all with their sacrifice and contribution to the community.

The campaign consists of a TVC, out-of-home, social components and the website.
